Wainbody Wood - May 2002

Wainbody Wood - March 2002

Kenilworth Road Spinney and Wainbody Wood

Kenilworth Road Spinney and Wainbody Woods are a local nature reserve.

The best walks are in Wainbody Wood.  The wood is rich with flowers and maturing trees.  It includes a surfaced paths with guide rails suitable for disabled.

Wainbody Wood is also crossed by a bridle way, which continues through part of Kenilworth Road Spinney.  This can be walked, but is often very muddy and probably best left to those on horseback!  Kenilworth Road Spinney is probably best viewed while driving down Kenilworth Road, but a wide verge with a footpath make walking safe, but it is a very long walk too near a busy road.

Good for Dogs rating: 2 dogs

A good open woodland area, with plenty to explore.  No large open grassland, and a railway line along the east side, and Kenilworth Road along the west side.
