Limbrick Wood - November 2001

Tile Hill Woods

Include Tile Hill Wood, Pig Wood, Plants Hill Wood & Limbrick Wood.

All described as Ancient, Mature, Semi-natural.  All are Nature Reserves.

All include many paths, ponds and a few clearings. 

Some include surfaced paths with guide rails suitable for disabled - Tile Hill from Banner Lane entrance, Pig Wood from Hawthorn lane entrance.
   

Good for Dogs rating: 3 dogs

A open woodland area which has plenty of interest for most dogs, but not much open grassland.


Ten Shilling Wood - November 2001

Ten Shilling Wood &
Park Wood - "Canley Woodlands"

Across the road from the "Half Sovereign" pub in Charter Avenue is the entrance to "Ten Shilling Wood".

Ten shilling Wood and Park Wood are linked by a open grassland to the south, creating a quiet stretch of countryside between the Chareter Avenue housing estate and Westwood business park. 

Both described as Ancient, Mature, Semi-natural.  Both are Nature Reserves.

Both include many paths, and a few clearings. 

Park Wood includes a surfaced path with guide rails suitable for disabled, but this is not in as good condition as those in the Tile Hill Woods.
 

Good for Dogs rating: 2 dogs

A open woodland area which has plenty of interest for most dogs, and an area of open grassland to the south.
