Lower Stoke Railway and London Road Allotments is a Coventry Nature Conservation Site (CNCS). It can be viewed from the path between Shortley Road and Humber Road. This path winds round the Waste disposal unit, and under the main railway line and the disused eastern loop line - but it remains an interesting green route. Between the path and the still cultivated Humber Road Allotments is an area entirely covered by brambles, making the path which approaches it from the south portal of the tunnel under the pain line practically impassable. The third picture shows the north portal of this impressive tunnel. Back towards Shortley Road, the area between the River Sherbourne and Whitley Village is being developed as a little park.
