Floyds Fields is one of Coventry's Formal Parks.

It is a pleasant stretch of open grassland, with lots of Playing Fields.  It has a good Car Park

It is on the very edge of of Coventry, with open country beyond.  At it's northern end, the Coventry boundary follows the edge of Floyds Fields to the east, turns north to the other side of the meadow, turns west again then resumes the generally northern direction.   The public right of way used to follow the border, but now seems to have been diverted to go diagonally across that little Solihull meadow!

This gives access to the Massey Ferguson Football Club playing fields, and beyond them to the country paths of Solihull to the west, or east down a footpath to Tilehill Wood.  Note that this last footpath has also been diverted to avoid the new Wickham Drive industrial development, which has the advantages of crossing (over a bridge) an ancient pond on the edge of the Massey Ferguson site, and arriving on Banner Lane opposite the entrance to Tilehill Wood.

Good for Dogs rating: 3 dogs

Excellent area to walk your dogs.  A good car park, often only occupied by the cars of dog owners.  Particularly popular for various dog owner organisations.  Good open grassland, with to the north an area of rough grass with plenty of hedges and trees.
