Elkin Wood 

 

Elkin Wood is a Coventry Nature Conservation Site (CNCS), managed by the Woodland Trust .

It is classified as a "Replanted Ancient Woodland Site" - much of the planting is modern conifers.  The Woodland trust however manage it well, harvesting timber but at the same time making it an attractive wood for visitors.  Paths are well maintained, and visitors are welcomed by a simple notice at two of the entrances:
